2012 Jeep Compass

New to the 2012 Model, Jeep has gone ahead and re-calibrated the automatic transmission to improve overall acceleration, smoother deceleration and heightened gas-pedal sensitivity. Built on a car-based platform, the Compasss is one of two front-drive based models from the Jeep brand--the other being the Patriot. One the exterior the Compass shares a few styling cues with its big brother, the Grand Cherokee SUV. There are two four-cylinder engines are offered in the Compass, and buyers can choose from three diverse drivelines; front-wheel drive, Freedom Drive I four-wheel drive with lock mode, and Freedom Drive II Off-Road Package, a Trail-Rated four-wheel-drive system.

2012 Jeep Patriot

Much like the Compass, the Patriot has re-calibrated its automatic transmission to improve upon acceleration, smoothness of deceleration and gas-pedal sensitivity. On the exterior the Patriot has a seven-slot grille, round headlights, and from last year new bumper that helps reposition the fog lights. The interior of the Patriot offers seating for five and optimal space for everyone within the cabin. Two four-cylinder engines are available for the Patriot. Both come standard with a five-speed manual transmission.

2012 Grand Cherokee

There were no significant changes to the Grand Cherokee from last years model. There is however two new models, the SRT8, and the luxurious Overland Summit. The Grand Cherokee continues to evolve away from the off-road vehicle it originally used for, and begins to lean more towards luxury and class. A 3.6-liter V6 engine is standard and more than sufficient for anything but heavy towing. For that, they offer a 5.7-liter V8. The Grand Cherokee lines are more aerodynamic and fluid with the entirety of the vehicle. The interior of the Grand Cherokee now offers another four inches of leg room in the rear seat. The instrument panel features clean white numbers and needles and clear lighting.


The Wrangler has a new 285-horsepower engine, accompanied with a 5-speed automatic transmission. A 6-speed manual is still offered of course. The Wrangler comes in two special editions, the Artic and Call of Duty:MW3 (based on the video game). The exterior has ab available three panel hardtop, with removal sections above the driver, passenger and rear passengers. The interior control panel is simple, and offers a high mounted streo system. The suspension is non-independent for off-road with solid front and rear axles.
