2013 Dodge Challenger in Southern Florida

The 2013 Dodge Challenger is unchanged.  The 2013 Challenger is a reproduction of the 1970's Challenger, but of course it has been re-tooled to include the latest technology and great suspension.  There are three powerful engines for the car, one a V-6 and two a V-8.  The V-6 in the SXT produces 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque, and a five-speed automatic is standard.  The V-8 produces 376 horsepower and 410 lb. ft. or torque, but when hooked up with the five-speed automatic, output drops slightly to 372 hp and 400 lb-ft. of torque.  The Challenger SRT8 392 gets a 6.4-liter V8 that produces 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual is standard and a five-speed automatic is optional.  The Challenger is an enjoyable muscle car, and everyone seems to enjoy it.  If you are in search of a new Challenger in the southern Florida area, Arrigo Automotive Group is your answer, view our large inventory today.

2013 Dodge Challenger & Handling

The Challenger is a big car that handles very good.  It is compliant with the road, it soaks up bumps and it truly is a pleasure to drive.  It goes where you want without menacing and it is civilized on the road when cruising.  The suspension of the car is great and gets even better with each higher model.  With aerodynamics ever-more-frequently dictating shape and wind patterns, it is refreshing to know that the new Challenger can comfortably be driven windows down without buffeting the occupants or thundering their ears.

2013 Dodge Challenger Design

The car has a very wide horizontal grille, spoiler and tail lamps to accentuate the width and this makes the car look very bold.  Also with these the proportions all seem just right, from the carrier-deck expanse of flat hood larger than most modern pickups, to the foot-high side glass and dark lower body trim, and into the massive rear roof pillars.  The four round lamp units and deeply inset grille of the original are still there, though now the inside lights are turn signals and the outer pair the headlamps. Where signals rode below the bumper on the '70 this one has fog lamps, and careful sculpting has maintained the classic look without destroying aerodynamic efficiency.
