2011 Jeep Patriot FLThe Jeep Patriot is back as an affordable SUV with traditional Jeep design, along with the ever reliable Jeep off roading systems. For 2011 the Jeep Patriot gets new front fascia with standard fog lamps, a body-color grille; new available 17-inch wheels, four new colors and 4x4 ride height that has been increased by 1 inch. Interior upgrades for the 2011 Jeep Patriot include new soft touch front-door trim panels with a padded upper surface, new center armrest, a new Jeep steering wheel with integrated audio, new cloth interior, standard speed control on all models, and new backlighting of switches. The Jeep Patriot also boasts a retuned suspension for 2011, with higher spring and damping rates, added rebound springs, and an increased diameter of the rear sway bar. Standard safety features include front and side-curtain air bags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability program, and tire pressure monitoring. A power sunroof and a multimedia infotainment system with 30-gigabyte hard drive and navigation system are available. The 2011 Patriot is available in front-wheel drive or with a four-wheel-drive system that features a lock mode to enhance traction in inclement weather. The powertrain lineup is unchanged, which means a choice of 2.0- and 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines, a five-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission, and front- or four-wheel drive. Trim levels include the base Sport, mid-level Latitude, and top-of-the-line Latitude X. The Patriot's cabin features large gauges, simple controls and a whole lot of cheap hard plastic. The optional navigation system's touchscreen interface is mostly intuitive, and it offers high-tech features that aren't available on some competing models. For camping trips and tailgate parties, the Boston Acoustics sound system features unique liftgate-mounted speakers that flip down so the sound projects outward. The Jeep's removable and easy-to-clean cargo floor is another nice touch.

New Jeep Patriot For Sale FLLike the Patriot's sibling, the Wrangler, the changes for 2011 on the inside are more significant than anywhere else on the vehicle. While Chrysler products in general have been criticized for not-so-great interiors and the Patriot, the automaker has made significant strides for 2011, including better quality upholstery for the seats, soft touch door panels and a new steering wheel that incorporates audio, hands free communication and cruise control functions. Other inside upgrades include backlighting for power window and mirror switches, plus on the Latitude X trim level, standard automatic climate control.

One nice feature for daily use is the optional hard-drive-based multimedia integration system, which allows everything from Bluetooth connectivity and MP3 ripping to movie viewing on the dash-mounted LCD screen. But that about does it as far as good news is concerned.  The base level Sport comes well equipped with 16-inch steel wheels, a tilt steering wheel, air-conditioning, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback and a four-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with an auxiliary audio jack.

Design of the new Jeep Patriot

The 2011 Patriot carries on its traditional Jeep appearance, along with some new updates. On the outside, the most obvious change is a revised front fascia, with driving lights now integrated into the lower bumper assembly, a body colored grille, new exterior colors, plus newly styled 17-inch wheels.  The Patriot is based on the Caliber hatchback, just like its Jeep Compass sibling. The Patriot has a seven-slot grille, rounded headlights and trapezoidal wheel-well openings. Trail-Rated Patriots have an extra inch of ground clearance, as do models with 17-inch wheels.
