2011 Jeep Liberty FLFor 2011, besides the new Renegade trim level, there are no significant changes for 2011. Unlike many panoramic sunroofs offered today, Jeep's Sky Slider roof is made of canvas rather than glass. The fabric roof folds on itself as it opens, and Jeep says the top is leak-proof. The 2011 Jeep Liberty is available in Sport, Renegade and Limited trim levels. The Liberty comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability control, active front head restraints and side curtain airbags. The Liberty has a standard fuel shut-off system that turns off fuel when the vehicle is decelerating. There's also a standard fuel-saving indicator that lights up in the odometer to notify the driver when the vehicle is being driven in a fuel-efficient manner. Standard equipment includes SIRIUS satellite radio, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, all-speed traction control, and electronic roll mitigation. The SkySlider option is a full-length open canvas sunroof that can slide accordion-style forward, backward or partially opened to any position in-between. A multimedia infotainment system with 30-gigabyte hard drive and navigation system is available. Consumers are attracted to the 2011 Jeep Liberty because of its off-road capability and more towing capacity, which is better than most of its competitors. If off-road capability and ruggedness is important, the Liberty is a great choice.

The Popular Equipment Group adds roof rails, foglamps, a cargo cover, temperature and compass gauges, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.

The Limited includes the Popular Equipment Group and adds 17-inch wheels, exterior chrome trim, heated power front seats (six-way driver, two-way passenger), driver memory functions, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and an eight-speaker sound system. Jeep Liberty Cabin

Buy 2011 Liberty MiamiRear legroom and shoulder room are adequate in the 2011 Liberty, and luggage space with the rear seat in place is a healthy 31.5 cubic feet; fold the seatback and you're looking at 64 cubic feet, an average figure for this class. The Sky Slider sunroof is much larger than a standard sunroof. It is made of canvas and creates an open air feeling, especially for rear seat passengers. The second row of the 2011 Liberty offers lots of head room. Leg room is decent, even with the front seats all the way back. Toe space is plentiful under the seats, but there is an annoying hump on each side next to the transmission tunnel. The available fold-flat front-passenger seat allows for loading long items. In back, Jeep provides a shallow under-floor storage area with a reversible cover that is carpeted on one side and formed into a plastic tray on the other. This is a useful feature for stowing dirty gear. Cargo tie-down hooks are also provided to secure loose items. The load floor is fairly low, making it easy to load heavy cargo. The rear glass panel opens separately, so items can be set inside without opening the tailgate.

2011 Jeep Liberty Power

The Sport and Limited can be had with either rear- or four-wheel drive, but the Renegade is 4x4 only. The 2011 Jeep Liberty is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 that produces 210 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. A four-speed automatic is the lone transmission choice. The Sport and Limited can be equipped with rear-wheel drive or a choice of two 4WD systems: part-time Command-Trac II or full-time Selec-Trac II. The Renegade is Selec-Trac II only. Four-wheel-drive models have Hill Descent Control, which pulses the brakes through the ABS to limit the vehicle's speed when driving down steep grades.Hill Start Assist is also standard. It holds the brakes on hills when the driver releases the pedal to prevent the vehicle from sliding backward.

Design of the new Jeep Liberty

The Liberty features Jeep's traditional seven-slot grille and trapezoidal fender flares that enhance the vehicle's side profile. The Liberty has an interesting exterior feature available as an option, the Sky Slider sunroof.  This is optional on all trims and is a full-roof cloth sunroof.  From the side, the Liberty has tall windows in a squared off greenhouse. The Limited's chrome theme extends to the side with chrome side trim and roof rails. These components are black on the Sport. The spare tire is mounted inside and the rear is accessed with a liftgate with a separate opening rear glass.

Conclusions

Florida Jeep Liberty For SaleOptions on the Sport and Limited 4x4 include the Media Center 430, which adds a CD/DVD player, digital music storage and a touchscreen interface. A navigation system can be added to the Media Center, and the two together are available on all Liberty trims. The Renegade can be equipped with the Navigation Convenience Group, which adds the Media Center 430, the navigation system, a tire-pressure monitor display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and the Limited's eight-speaker sound system. The Renegade's Premium Group is similar, but swaps out the navigation system in favor of rear parking sensors, remote ignition and Bluetooth. Safety features include dual front airbags, plus head-protecting side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors, front side airbags for torso protection, and active front-seat head restraints. Active safety features include anti-lock brakes with brake assist, hill start assist, traction control, and electronic stability control with rollover mitigation. The antilock brakes have rough road detection; when rough conditions are detected, the system holds the brake pulses longer to better slow the vehicle. Hill descent control is standard on 4x4 models. Optional safety features include trailer sway control and rear obstacle detection. Check out the official Jeep Liberty website for more on this model!
